Flat roofs have a reputation for problems — usually down to poor preparation rather than the roofing material itself. We're meticulous about the groundwork: most jobs start with new decking on 18mm sterling interlocking boards before we get anywhere near the covering.
We work with two main systems:
All flat roofing work comes with an insurance-backed guarantee.
Natural slate has been used on British roofs since Roman times, and it's still one of the most durable, best-looking options available — it can even be reclaimed and reused. We also work with terracotta tile and Kent peg tiles, and can source rarer materials like French tiles where a period property calls for it (these can take longer to arrive, so we'll flag lead times upfront).
Every pitched roof job starts with a full survey — inside the loft to check felt and battens, then outside to check for broken or missing tiles. If the roof's beyond patching, we'll replace what's needed to keep it watertight and looking right for years.
All pitched roof work comes with an insurance-backed guarantee.
A leaking roof needs a fast, reliable fix — not a guessing game. Our fitters start with a thorough inspection to work out exactly what's wrong before quoting, so you're not paying for more than the job needs.
If the roof's genuinely beyond economical repair, we'll say so and talk you through a replacement instead of patching something that won't last. All repairs come with an insurance-backed guarantee.
We fit Eurocell, Swish or Deeplas uPVC fascias and soffits — extruded uPVC with a UV-resistant finish, so no discolouration over time. Fascias can be supplied either as a capping over sound existing wooden fascias, or as a full replacement fixed directly to the roof joists, depending on condition. Soffits come as plain or vented boards.
All work is carried out by our own fitters (not subcontracted), old materials are removed, and the job comes with an insurance-backed guarantee.
Our guttering is high-gloss uPVC in White, Brown or Black, with Round, Square or Ogee profiles — and we hold large stocks of downpipes and fittings, so most jobs don't get held up waiting for parts.
Not every job needs full replacement. We start by assessing whether the system just needs cleaning and a few replacement parts, or whether the majority of it has had it. One thing worth knowing if your property's older: imperial-measurement guttering can't simply be grafted onto modern metric fittings — we'll advise honestly on whether a full swap is the more reliable long-term fix.
New guttering work comes with a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee.
Moss and lichen don't just look bad — a mossy roof absorbs rainwater and acts like insulation-in-reverse, reducing your roof's efficiency. Our cleaning process is genuinely three stages, not a quick jet-wash:
Most jobs take around three days depending on roof size and weather. It's a fraction of the cost of re-tiling, with a decorative finish that makes an old roof look new again.
We install the Evolution Canopy system — a maintenance-free, all-aluminium, powder-coated structure with an integral eaves beam and box-gutter drainage through the supporting posts, glazed with 16mm triple-wall polycarbonate (clear, bronze or opal).
Beyond carports, the same system works for covered seating and play areas, porches, patio canopies, caravan covers and cycle or smoking shelters — projecting up to 4 metres, with bespoke sizing available.
We work across Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable, Thanet, all of Kent and South East London. If you're specifically looking for a roofer in Canterbury or Herne Bay, those pages have more detail on local coverage.
